Dreadnoughts work in a world of pulleys, boilers, engines and gears. The Commonwealth esteems their machines because they can automate everyday chores. Their tanks and battleships allow the common man to safely slay monstrous creatures. However, the power of steam doesn't come without its price, so Dreadnought lords have pioneered new ways of stripping resources from the earth.
Dreadnought is one of the playable Classes in Age of Wonders 3. Dreadnought focuses on technology. More on their skills are focuses on more offense and less defense.
Unit and Skill[]
Dreadnought units and skills focuses on technology, infantry, artillery, production, and defense. One of the destructive skills of Dreadnought - Destabilized Mana Core, greatly damages both friend and foe. Below are the Units and Skills of Dreadnought.
Machines[]
Machines are not affected by races specifications.
Cannon[]
Cannons are low tech artillery with medium damage, but perfect against city gates, walls, and infantry. Cannons are great for sieges in groups, and perfect for killing infantry. |
Flame Tank[]
Flame Tanks are excellent against cities and fortresses. Additionally Flame Tanks are highly recommended for burning up foes on thebattlefield, unless they know how to remove the fires by themselves, or protected. |
Landship/Juggernaut[]
Landships are heavy artillery and siege weapons armed with cannons and best for attacking fortress and cities. It cannot easily bring down because of it's high defense. A fleet of Landship will surely bring destruction to the battlefield. |
Golem[]
I Climbed intro the hatch and sealed the overhead latch. Locking my body into the harness, I activated the compact boilers and tapped the fuel gauge. The mana-cells glowed with energy. Fresh and ready for battle, I released the first steam valve and locked in the marionette-like motion activators. Every movement of my body caused the Golem to react in like manner. I stomped across the battlefield, and struck a rock giant in the chest. It grabbed me. I half expected the whole contraption to explode, but the Golem stood solid. I pushed back, grappling hand to hand with the creature! Imagine! Me! A simple engineer locked in melee with a legend!

Troopers[]
Troopers are alived class-specific units that can be produced regardless the race. Their stats, price and time production will be affected by races specifications (?).
Musketeer[]
This gun wielded units are trained for battle great for unit to unit combat. But beware, Musketeer's weakness is artillery so don't expect that a small army of Musketeer can bring down a Artillery but if you bring a massive army for unit to artillery battle well expect that you can bring them down. |

Engineer[]
This units are train not to battle, but to repair and to Improve siege engines. It is good to have Engineers in a middle of a battle or siege, cause these folks will fix your broken siege weapons and also improves them so they are more efficient for battleing. |

Destabilized Mana Core Skill[]
Apply Technology to magical elements and see what happens. Destabilized Mana Core will surely cause destruction to battlefield use these and see how both enemy and friend die. Destabilized Mana Core has High Range, that can surely bring a whole city or fortress down. Beware this skill can kill your Units. |
Force Field[]
Force field is a skill that can apply to all units. It provide defense for units, useful when using Destabilized Mana Core if you do not want to all your units die. |

Summon a Drone that can help you to discover the terrain around you and fight by your side. Explodes when destroyed. |
Spell Jammer[]
The best Offense is a good defense. Spell Jammer is capable of protecting an area (3 Hex around) from deadly magical spells. It is highly recommended against Enemy who uses Magical spells. |
Mana Fuel Cells[]
Dreadnoughts don't use Magic, or barely, so they don't use Mana but with this technology, you can convert unused Mana into energy that can be use up to speed production. |
